Condylator® Joints

Condylator Joints

The artificial joint

Condylator® is the first articulator with double cones TMJ-mechanism patented in 1956.

The artificial joints work in functional harmony with the natural TMJs. The natural condyle head is represented by a condylar body, which has a bi-conical profile copied from the roof-shaped sliding surfaces of the natural condyles.

This more natural shape is able to reproduce the Bennett movement more accurately. The outward movement of the working side condyle is accompanied by a downward movement due to the guidance offered to the condyle head by the coronal shape of the glenoid fossa. Only Condylator-articulators reproduce all these natural movements since 1956 - Albert Gerber's genial innovation.
